Webinar: Conflict Resolution in the Workplace

Conflict is all around us. How we deal with it shows our ability to lead and manage others. Conflict can be healthy, but too much can lead to poor morale, turnover, and can be costly to an organization. By dealing effectively with conflict, organizations can be more productive and efficient, with happier employees.

Many nonprofit organizations work under high-stress situations with minimal budgets. Employees may sometimes feel that they have no place to turn for help in dealing with uncomfortable situations. To work through these situations, managers and employees both can learn how to actively listen, and defuse situations and find resolution through collaborative solutions.

In this webinar, participants:

  • Identified various causes of conflict – where they come from and why they occur.

  • Learned to understand the GIFT model and how this can assist in active listening when determining causes and solutions for conflict.

  • Received tools to help employees deal with conflict through communication and assist managers in defusing conflict to maintain productivity and morale in the workplace
