The inaugural event on October 24 featured the launch of an important new CCVO research report: Lighting the Way - The State of the Alberta Nonprofit Sector 2018This year’s report was – for the first time – informed not only by a province-wide survey, but also by focus groups and personal interviews with nonprofit leaders. This report explores the state of the sector, looks to the year ahead, and shares priorities of nonprofits for the upcoming provincial election – and some suggestions for collective action.

Nonprofits at Noon is stimulated by expert perspectives and a collegial atmosphere. Attendees learned what Lighting the Way says about the sector, and about advocacy efforts that might be effective to create change. Janet Brown, Pollster and Political Commentator, and Duane Bratt, Political Science Professor and Chair, Department of Economics, Mount Royal University shared their perspectives to start the conversation with those in attendance.

This event was generously supported by the Suncor Energy Foundation.
