Managing Change: Solutions to Strengthen Your Organization

Everyday we are reminded that change is a part of how our world operates; organizations constantly need to be planning and strategizing in an ever changing landscape. To help nonprofits thrive in this environment, CCVO has developed a opportunity for organizations to participate in a management consulting project through a partnership with the MBA program of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

This project allows nonprofits to draw upon the expertise of an advanced class of MBA students who wish to gain knowledge and experience in consulting and change management. These advanced MBA students have managerial, financial, accounting, marketing, and operational management skills.

Organizations are encouraged to use this opportunity to address business and management issues facing their nonprofit such as social enterprise, human resource management, and operating systems challenges. Students will work with sector organizations and the course instructor to refine project parameters and develop solutions to workplace and organizational change issues.

Students work in teams from early September until the end of November, 2017. Space for participating in this project is limited. Organizations will be selected based on their capacity to undertake a meaningful systems, structures or organizational change initiative.

To explore this opportunity further and to determine how this project could benefit your organization, please contact Mike Grogan at mgrogan@calgarycvo.org, or 403-910-5876 before August 30, 2017.
