Including Charities and Nonprofits in the Federal Recovery Plan

On September 23, the Federal Government will announce plans for Canada’s recovery with a speech from the throne. Imagine Canada has organized a letter writing campaign for charities and nonprofits to ask Minister Freeland to include the sector in the recovery plan.

The sector has played a crucial role in providing front line support to our communities since the onset of the pandemic, as it is equipped with a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience in these communities. Nonprofit organizations play an important role and are critical to successfully identifying, reaching, and protecting vulnerable Albertans.
