Government of Alberta Introduces Electronic Funds Transfer for Community Grants

The Government of Alberta has moved to electronic funds transfer (EFT) to directly deposit grant funding into your organization’s account. As of date, EFT will be used to distribute grants from the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) and the Community Initiatives Program (CIP).

The move to online transactions streamlines the grant distribution process and makes it more efficient and accessible for all organizations to receive their funding in a timely manner.

If your organization has recently applied for a CFEP or CIP grant, or are a current recipient, you should be receiving an email asking you to complete a direct deposit form and attach a copy of a VOID cheque from your organization’s bank account.

If you have yet to receive the email but believe you should have, please contact 1-800-642-3855 or email communitygrants@gov.ab.ca.
