Climate Change is More Than an Environmental Issue: How To Prepare For a Low Carbon Economy

Together with Alberta Ecotrust and Pembina Institute, this session will explore implications of climate change and the transition to a lower carbon economy for the work performed across the nonprofit sector. This will include looking at the concept of a “just transition” as well as how to apply a climate change lens to organizational governance and management. Hear from environmental experts and nonprofit sector leaders why climate change is everybody’s business.

Volunteer Engagement and Screening Forum

Together with Volunteer Alberta and Propellus, this session will explore issues and trends related to volunteer engagement and screening, including police information checks. Practical considerations and best practices, as well as public policy implications, will also be covered.
