Alberta Energy Efficiency Advisory Panel Submission
The Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO) provided four recommendations to the Advisory Panel on how future energy efficiency programs can reflect the needs of the nonprofit sector. Our recommendations relate to:
The financing of energy efficiency measures and micro-generation.
Supporting audits, informed decision-making and implementation.
Creating an enabling environment for community scale energy systems.
Providing transitional support to those nonprofits and charities substantially affected by Alberta’s new carbon levy.
