The City of Calgary is offering $125,000 in grants for nonprofits who work to support and stimulate positive change for affordable housing residents. Applications focusing on tenant self-sufficiency and increasing participation in community well-being activities can receive up to $15,000 per initiative. Applications must show benefits to the affordable housing community in one or more of the four key areas:

  • Residents feel they have increased housing stability

  • Residents have increased financial competency

  • Residents are more comfortable with and have better access to community wellness activities

  • Increased opportunities for resident-led community wellness activities.

Download the application here. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the funds run out for the 2019 period.
