Connections Conference

CCVO's annual Connections Conference is an important gathering focused on how Alberta's nonprofit, corporate, and public sectors collectively support, sustain, and foster healthy communities.

CCVO will convene its 8th annual conference for a full-day at Mount Royal University on April 10, 2019. More details to be announced this fall!

Thanks for joining us at Connections Conference 2018!

The 2018 conference theme: Thinking Differently, Together was built on the foundation of CCVO’s pivotal research on adaptive capacity in the nonprofit sector. The conference program challenged nearly 300 professionals from across the province to reconsider current paradigms, stimulated conversations and connections, and inspired community change with speakers & sessions throughout the day.

2018 Connections Conference attendees reflect on their highlights from the event:

The talk on Truth and Reconciliation was deeply powerful. I think it is so important to take our journeys personal before organization. If we can’t take the time to learn ourselves, then are we being authentic with our organizations missions’ of inclusion.
Well run and organized event enabled a great amount of learning in one day. Networking always good, probably stemming from the warm and professional demeanour of CCVO leadership, staff, emcee etc. Market place with recommendations from speakers was a great touch — I have already read some very inspiring work I picked up there.
These brilliant thinkers challenging us, inspiring us. Beautiful to see the human side. Networking was great. Loved having the bookstore right there.
