Provincial Budget 2021 Consultation

The Government of Alberta is inviting all Albertans to share their perspectives through an online survey and telephone town halls to help set the direction of the upcoming provincial budget – scheduled to be released in February 2021. The 2021 budget will set out the government’s yearly financial plan as well as its overall taxation and spending priorities.

The online survey will be open until December 4, 2020, and can be accessed here. The survey asks questions regarding spending priorities, revenue options, and opportunities for government savings. The government is also encouraging Albertans to share their thoughts through telephone town halls scheduled for November 30, December 2, and December 3. For more information, please visit the Alberta Budget Consultation website.

The government will also be launching a digital 'build a budget' tool in mid-November that will ask Albertans to make choices about spending and revenue, and show the resulting impacts that their selections would have on the overall budget.

We encourage you to participate and have your voice heard. It's important for nonprofits to put forward their policy priorities for the 2021 provincial budget and ensure that the nonprofit and charitable sector is not left out.
