Microgrants Available for City of Calgary Nonprofit Organizations
The Calgary Parks Foundation, in partnership with the City of Calgary, is now offering grants to nonprofit organizations for projects that encourage Calgarians to enjoy winter. The Embrace the Outdoors Grant Program will award up to $4,500 to support costs related to safely enjoying outdoor spaces.
Registered nonprofit organizations within the City of Calgary municipal boundaries are eligible to apply for the grant program. Eligible projects should ensure that families and neighbours can appreciate the outdoors in new and unique ways. The purpose of the grant is to fund outdoor improvements and enhancements that welcome people to enjoy the outdoors and can be experienced by a variety of users at different times. For example, art installations or pop-ups, or purchasing ski, skate, or sports equipment for community members to use or borrow. The grant program does not intend to support events or community-style gatherings but rather experiences that people can participate in their own time while safely enjoying the outdoors.
