Insights from Charities and Nonprofits Convening on Federal COVID-19 Support Measures

On November 10, Imagine Canada convened over 30 charitable and nonprofit organizations to discuss how federal COVID-19 supports – mainly the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS), the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS), and the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) – could be improved, and what resources and initiatives would help more organizations access much-needed relief.

CCVO attended the event and provided input on the federal programs available and the challenges faced by organizations. Imagine Canada has provided a summary of the discussion on the challenges, what could be improved, and additional support for the sector. Imagine Canada has also put together a set of ten actions to ensure emergency measures work for all. Click here to read the full post from Imagine Canada.
