Government Appoints New Parliamentary Secretary for Alberta’s Francophonie
On June 23, 2019, the UCP government appointed Laila Goodridge, MLA for Fort McMurray - Lac La Biche, to the role of parliamentary secretary for Alberta’s Francophonie. This role is critical in ensuring that French Policy is actively pursued and that the Francophonie community is supported, engaged, and connected to the government. She will be working closely with Minister Aheer in the Ministry of Culture, Multiculturalism, and Status of Women.
Laila is one of two parliamentary secretaries. Muhammad Yaseen, appointed on April 30, 2019, is the Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration and will be working with Minister Copping in the Ministry of Labour and Immigration.
