Federal Election #nonprofitsvote Campaign Launches Today!
By Alexa Briggs, CCVO Director, Policy & Research
It’s back! CCVO has launched #nonprofitsvote for the federal election coming up on October 21. We received positive feedback on the inaugural #nonprofitsvote campaign from the recent Alberta provincial election, and you all had so much fun participating, that we’ve decided to do it all again for the federal election!
Showing your support for #nonprofitsvote is easy and simple with the Vote Kit created by CCVO. It includes detailed voting resources and practical tools to help increase voter participation among nonprofits.
There are many ways to participate in the campaign. Use the #nonprofitsvote hashtag to:
share your excitement about voting.
share your nonprofit organization’s enthusiasm for voting.
invite others to vote.
speak up about the issues that matter to you.
encourage the federal parties to pay attention to important issues affecting the nonprofit sector.
celebrate casting your ballot!
This is an exciting nonpartisan campaign to encourage nonprofit staff, board members, volunteers, and people who access the services of nonprofits, to get out the vote.
With more than 26,000 nonprofits operating across Alberta, we can use our collective strength to ensure that federal parties address issues that are crucial to all Albertans. Join the movement by committing to vote and talking to others about the importance of voting.
Let’s make it known that #nonprofitsvote!
