Application to be a member of the Social Innovation Advisory Council Extended

The call for applications for the Social Innovation Advisory Council of stakeholders to help advance and oversee the implementation of Canada’s Social Innovation and Social Finance Strategy has been extended to September 13, 2019. Nonprofits can apply to help guide, implement, and support the Social Innovation and Social Finance Strategy.

The Call for Applications is to establish an Advisory Council in response to the recommendations by the Co-Creation Steering Group report, Inclusive innovation: New ideas and new partnerships for stronger communities. The Advisory Council will be composed of 12 to 15 members who are external to government and have extensive knowledge of social innovation, social finance, or social procurement practices and are representative of Canada’s diversity.

We have recently developed an introduction for nonprofits on social innovation and social finance, which can be found here.
