In the weeks following the devastating flooding in Southern Alberta, nonprofit organizations and funding agencies have been working tirelessly to restore services and support in-need communities. CCVO has been working closely with government and nonprofit agencies to get a clear picture of the long-term effects of the flood on the sector.
Alberta Flood Relief Resources
We have compiled a list of flood recovery resources available for nonprofits, businesses and individuals. Priority listing has been given to long-term recovery funding and programs, as well as donated legal, insurance and health and wellness services.

CCVO’s 2013 Alberta Nonprofit Survey report is out! We now have five years’ worth of data in areas that speak to the health and experience of Alberta’s nonprofits - areas such as revenues, operating costs, demand for programs and services, and future expectations.

Influencing Public Policy: Update
CCVO has updated it's 2010 publication Influencing Public Policy to reflect new changes from the CRA. This resource helps nonprofits understand what advocacy activities are considered allowable, under the guidelines of the Canada Revenue Agency Policy Statement on Political Activities (CPS-022).
CCVO Analysis: Alberta Budget 2013
On March 7, the Government of Alberta released a budget that holds overall operational spending at $36.4 billion, the same level as last year. It forecasts an operational deficit of $451 million before an additional $5.2 billion in capital spending.
