2023-24 Annual Report
This year was CCVO's 20th anniversary. Thank you to everyone that has supported us through these twenty years! Seeing the amazing work that nonprofits do never ceases to amaze us, and it has been great to be able to support and advocate for the nonprofit community for the past two decades. We look forward to continuing to empower and champion the sector for many years to come.
CCVO honours and acknowledges the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived on and cared for the land that we now know as Alberta for centuries. Namely: the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), Tsuut'ina, Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, and Métis Regions 1 through 6. We are committed to listening, learning, and doing the work along our journey of reconciliation.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR AND PRESIDENT & CEO
2023-24 brought an opportunity for CCVO to focus on strengthening our organization as we emerge from the immediate need for advocacy and support for nonprofits through an intense period of pandemic, pandemic recovery and rising inflation. This internal work included the end of a two-year process to select a new name and brand for our organization that best reflects who we are now and how we will show up in the future. We are grateful to all the stakeholders and community members that participated in helping us establish our new brand, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our support of Calgary and Alberta’s nonprofit sector under our new name.
